March - 30th June - Shop for Heroes - Bank Hey Street (Opening TBA)

A high visibility shop in Bank Hey Street, kindly donated by JJB Sports will host exhibitions from Cadet Forces, modern military and historic events in lead to Armed Forces Week. Organised by the Fylde Ex-Service Liaison Committee and manned by volunteers the shop will display a selection of branded items and memorabilia.

19 - 27 June Cenotaph Illuminated Tribute - Cenotaph (from dusk)

A fitting tribute to our Armed Forces, past present and future. A respectful programme of moving images and sounds projected onto the Grade 2 listed War Memorial.

19 - 27 June 1940's Tea Room Experiences - New President Hotel (Daily)

The New President Hotel will be recreating the 40's with special prices for Veterans and Armed Forces.

19th June - Music for Heroes

A musical extravaganza featuring military and civilian musicians and surprise appearances. (Opera House) (Tickets TBC)

19 - 20 June Welcome to HM Armed Forces - St John's Square (Free)

We welcome our Armed Forces who will be showing some of the skills they have in displays and stands in and around St. John's Square including recruiting stands.

20th June - St Dunstan's Air Cadet Challenge - Blackpool Tower

Blackpool's outstanding Air Cadets raise money for this worthwhile charity with a marathon challenge, including traveling in Blackpool Tower Lift.

21st June - Armed Forces Week - Raise the Flag (Town Hall)

Blackpool Joins the nation in raising the flag in this Countrywide tribute, A celebrity Veteran will present the flag to the Mayor before being raised at the Town Hall. (10:30)

The presenting of Veterans Badges will take place at various events throughout the weekend.

26th June - 12 Reg Royal Artillery - Freedom March

12 Regiment royal Artillery will exercise right as free men of the borough by parading through town. Route and timing to follow

Blackpool will join the rest of the UK in celebrating National Armed Forces Day. Events taking place throughout the town. More details to follow.

26th June - Celebrating Cadets (Stanley Park)

Celebrating 150 years since the start of the cadet forces. A range of activities for the young will be at Stanley Park. More Details to follow.

26th June - Saturday Night at Tower Ballroom (Blackpool Tower)

A night od celebration including 'Beat the Retreat' world renowned Tower Ballroom Organist and dancing to live Big Band sounds. Tickets from info centre Bank Hey Street.

27th June - Sunday Morning Service - Cenotaph (11:00am)

Blackpool joins together to celebrate, honour and unite Britain's Armed forces, past, present and future. Veterans, serving personnel, cadets and auxiliary services will be in attendance.

27th June - Armed Forces and Veterans Parade - Cenotaph/Promenade (11:30)

After the service, Blackpool invites members of the Armed Forces, Veterans, Cadets, Auxiliary Services to the Parade along the Promenade. Everyone welcome to line the route and cheer and wave the flag.

27th June - Armed Forces Veterans Golf Challenge - Stanley Park Golf Club
